Work alongside the Associate Director of Nursing FSS and the directorate management team to champion, advocate and promote services, ensuring safe and high quality patient care is continuously delivered.
Act as a highly visible 'eyes and ears' leader who is clinically credible, approachable and able to talk to children, parents/guardians with kindness, care and confidence.
Manage patients and teams within acute children's services, supporting and leading on local and national initiatives.
Support the strategic development of nursing within the children’s directorate, focusing on quality, patient experience, workforce and risk management.
Collaborate with the Associate Director of Nursing to provide assurance to the Executive Team and Board of Directors that robust governance and performance management systems are in place.
Support the CYP directorate to deliver the Quality Improvement agenda, including horizon scanning to identify areas where the directorate can lead on quality improvement.
Evidence of managing patients and teams within acute children's services is essential.
Proven track record of supporting and leading on local and national initiatives.
