We are looking for reliable, hard working courier drivers to join our team for the busy peak season. This is a temporary position, but for the right candidate there may be an opportunity to continue into a full-time role after the peak period ends.
We are seeking a reliable and efficient Courier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the timely and safe delivery of packages, ensuring that all items are handled with care. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to navigate various routes effectively. A strong focus on customer service is essential, as you will be representing our company during deliveries.
Duties
* Deliver/collect packages promptly to designated locations.
* Operate a van delivery vehicle safely and efficiently.
* Perform heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring proper handling techniques are used.
* Maintain accurate records of deliveries/collections, including times and locations.
* Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding delivery status and any issues that may arise.
* Assist in warehouse duties as required, including loading and unloading goods.
* Ensure the vehicle is kept clean and well-maintained at all times.
Requirements
* Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
* Valid driving license with no more than 6 points, with a minimum of two years driving experience.
* Commercial driving experience is advantageous.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physical tasks throughout the day.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for tracking deliveries accurately.
* Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and colleagues effectively.
