Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Energy Centre Engineer located in the Greater Sheffield Area. The Energy Centre Engineer will oversee the operation, maintenance, and performance optimisation of energy generation and supply systems. Day-to‑day tasks include monitoring and managing energy centre equipment, identifying and resolving technical issues, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and conducting scheduled maintenance. The role involves supporting continuous improvement and contributing to projects aimed at increasing efficiency and sustainability.
Qualifications
* Experience with energy systems, maintenance operations, and plant performance optimisation
* Knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering principles, as well as control systems
* Experience with health, safety, and environmental compliance in an engineering or energy sector
* Strong problem‑solving, technical troubleshooting, and analytical skills
* Good communication and team‑working abilities
* Proficiency in working with technical documentation and data interpretation
* Relevant qualifications in Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related field
* Experience in renewable energy or low‑carbon technologies is a plus
