Sales Engineer
Pertemps has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sales Engineer to join an adhesives specialist based in Hampshire. This position is remote and covers the North of the UK.
The successful candidate will be field-based, covering areas including Runcorn, Macclesfield, Sheffield, Grimsby, and up to Scotland. Initial training will be at the company's HQ in Hampshire.
Responsibilities:
1. Support distributors and customers in the North of the UK
2. Grow existing customer base and develop new business
3. Respond to technical queries via phone and email
4. Visit customers to recommend, specify, and introduce adhesives into production lines
5. Handle complaint support, investigations, and troubleshooting
6. Provide technical and new product training for distributors
7. Support exhibition attendance when required
8. Track sales leads, samples, and projects; provide regular feedback from customers/distributors
9. Assist with new product launches and promotional activities
10. Negotiate and provide pricing and quotations for customers
Requirements:
* Proven sales experience
* Technically minded
* Ability to build long-lasting business relationships
* Ability to manage a territory as if it were your own business
* Confidence in converting leads to sales
* Full driving license and own vehicle
The Role:
* Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
* Negotiable salary
* Quarterly bonus based on sales
