Central Manchester CAMHS is seeking a full‑time Band 7 Senior Mental Health Practitioner / Clinical Psychologist to lead specialist interventions and deliver high‑quality clinical care within core CAMHS.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality, evidence‑based mental health interventions to children, young people and their families.
- Conduct comprehensive mental health, risk, family and social assessments, and produce formulation, case management and therapeutic interventions in line with the THRIVE framework.
- Operate autonomously within professional guidelines, ensuring safe, effective and timely decision‑making, particularly in complex and high‑risk situations.
- Engage in safeguarding, crisis response and risk management while maintaining a child‑ and family‑centred focus.
- Provide supervision, teaching and consultation to junior staff, students and wider professionals.
- Participate actively in service development, partnership working and multi‑agency collaboration across health, social care, education and voluntary sectors.
- Support clinical governance, service evaluation and continuous professional development in line with Trust policies and standards.
