Fish! Restaurant in Borough Market is looking for an experienced
and enthusiastic Restaurant Receptionist /Host.
Please note that we can only consider applicants with Restaurant
Receptionist experience.
Fish! Borough Market is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic restaurant receptionist/host to join our team. Our brasserie-style restaurant seats 110 guests inside and 45 on the terrace. We welcome around 2,500 guests weekly with a casual, friendly, yet professional and efficient service style.
For the role you will need:
* We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:
o Extensive experience in managing a busy, high-volume restaurant service.
o Strong understanding of table turnover management.
o High energy and the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
o Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
o Proficiency in MS Office and strong administrative skills.
o Knowledge of the Opentable and SevenRooms booking system.
o Excellent communication skills and a welcoming manner.
o Strong team player with a proactive attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
o Manage online, walk-in, and phone reservations.
o Organize and oversee party reservations.
o Perform daily administrative tasks including menu updates and reservation management using Word and Excel.
o Welcome and seat guests, ensuring exceptional customer service.
o Efficiently handle requests and queries in person, by phone, or via email.
o Follow opening, closing, and daily duties procedures.

o Earnings between £14 and £15/ hour including tronc, depending on level of experience, plus monthly tronc bonus.
