Quantity Surveyor/ Senior Quantity Surveyor

We’re supporting the recruitment of experienced Quantity Surveyors (QS) and Senior Quantity Surveyors (SQS) to join a well-established team delivering large-scale infrastructure programmes in and around the Leeds region.
The Opportunity
You’ll be embedded in major infrastructure schemes across sectors such as transportation (rail, highways), energy, utilities, or water. These roles offer the chance to work client-side or within integrated project teams, supporting the successful commercial delivery of complex projects.
Key Responsibilities
Depending on level, your remit may include:
* Managing the commercial and contractual aspects of infrastructure projects from inception to completion
* Preparing cost plans, estimates, and tender documents
* Providing robust contract administration using NEC or similar forms
* Monitoring budgets and controlling costs throughout project lifecycles
* Supporting or leading on change control, risk management, and final accounts
* Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including planners, engineers, and project managers
* Advising clients and stakeholders with confidence and commercial insight
* Mentoring junior team members (SQS level)
What We’re Looking For
* Background in infrastructure delivery - e.g. rail, highways, energy, water, or utilities
* Previous experience working within a consultancy, client-side, or tier 1 contractor environment
* Proficient in NEC contracts
* Strong cost management, measurement, and reporting skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
* For SQS: experience leading commercial workstreams or packages on large-scale programmes
Location
Based in Leeds, with flexibility for occasional travel to project sites or client offices in the wider region.
