Mount Royal Hotel Edinburgh is seeking a creative, proactive and commercially minded Marketing Executive to support and enhance the hotels brand presence and guest engagement for a fixed term twelve month contract.
Reporting to the Hotel General Manager, you will play a key role in executing marketing strategies across the hotel, with a strong focus on digital content, social media, and promoting the hotels newly refurbished restaurant and bar. You will work closely with Sales & Marketing, Operations, Food & Beverage, and Corporate teams to ensure a consistent and compelling brand experience across all touchpoints.
A Marketing Executive will be responsible for:
Developing and executing marketing strategies in collaboration with key stakeholders to enhance brand visibility
Managing and coordinating social media campaigns to promote Food & Beverage offerings, hotel events, and guest experiences
Creating, scheduling and publishing engaging content across platforms including Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn
Monitoring and responding to social media engagement to build an active and positive online community
Supporting the planning and delivery of marketing events, brand activations and PR initiatives to increase footfall and visibility
Collaborating with the Food & Beverage team on promotional materials, menus and seasonal campaigns
Producing marketing collateral such as brochures, flyers, digital assets and email campaigns
Working with department heads to identify promotional opportunities aligned with operational goals
Providing operational support across departments to ensure brand consistency throughout the guest journey
Attending regular cross-departmental meetings to align on marketing campaigns and objectives
Ensuring compliance with health and safety policies and upholding brand standards
Promoting a collaborative and positive work culture that supports employee engagement and development
To be successful in the role of Marketing Executive, we require:
A Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
Proven marketing experience, ideally within hospitality, travel, lifestyle or high-volume restaurant environments
Strong understanding of social media platforms, digital marketing and content strategy
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in English
Strong organisational, time management and project management skills
A creative, proactive and detail-focused approach
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
A passion for storytelling, branding and delivering exceptional guest experiences
Hospitality or serviced apartment background desirable but not essential
