Who do you report to?

You'll be reporting to our Compliance Manager, Lewis.

Who reports directly to you?

This role doesn't hold any managerial responsibilities.

In your role as Data Technician Apprentice, you will play a vital role in providing colleagues across the company with accurate, timely, and well-organised data insights, predominantly working as part of both the Compliance and Finance Team. You will help to change clients' lives and provide great client outcomes by supporting data-driven decision-making, ensuring regulatory compliance, and improving the efficiency and accuracy of our processes to shorten client journey timescales.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare, collate and present data to track staff training and competence.

* Collation of data to determine KPI results.

* Assist with Complaint and Error responses by keeping accurate records, liaising with our insurers and sending all complaint correspondence, including communication with the Financial Ombudsman Service.

* Record Financial Promotions.

* Collate key information and data for Professional Indemnity Insurance application to ensure its smooth annual renewal.

* Check Electronic Verification of Corporate Clients and investigate individual fails.

* Ensure all staff are following our Clear Desk policy and that computer or device desktops are clear of client data.

* Retrieve and process income statements on back office system (Intelligent Office).

* Ensure that client records are kept up to date and accurate in terms of income.

* Reconcile all income and resolve any discrepancies.

* Collate and record staff expense claims.

* Maintain and balance petty cash.

* Run client data reports, checking for accuracy, and present in suitable format for use by peers.

* Assisting with preparation/data input for cashflow forecasting, budget variances and ratio analysis

* Fully supported through completion of L3 Data Technician Apprenticeship.

* Work in line with IFP's CPD scheme and T&C scheme.

* Adhere to the cross-cutting rules and act in the spirit of the Consumer Duty to support the achievement of good Client Outcomes

Skills & Experience Required:

* GCSE Maths & English

* GCSE/BTEC ICT preferable

* Good verbal and written communication skills.

* Good organisational skills

* Accurate with a good eye for detail

* Digitally literate

* Professional and confident telephone manner

* Good understanding and adherence to agreed operational processes

* Good team-worker

* Open and honest with all colleagues, managers and directors.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract, Apprenticeship

Contract length: 15 months

Pay: £10.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
