The role is a varied QC / technical operator position working in all areas of our manufacturing processes. Full specific training will be given but the below are key areas of skill and experience we look for in our candidates. This role is one that can be expanded as an individual learns and offers good development opportunities. Key skills and experience: * Able to demonstrate a proactive “can do “logical mindset. * Worked within a QC / laboratory testing environment performing laboratory-based testing and in process QC checks (specific training will be given). * Is able to document information in a written and numerical way and is able to understand and report on documented findings using IT based systems. * Experience of performing QC / testing duties within a manufacturing environment would be massively advantageous. Roles and * Working as part of a team to ensure the compliant operation of a multi stream manufacturing facility, specifically focusing on raw martials / components and finished products. * To ensure that all process and quality documents are maintained, procedures are followed at all times, any issues are raised with a manager or relevant department as required. * Undertake quality audits (training can be provided) * Assist with Customer requests for information or addressing any QC related issues. * To reduce product loss and waste at every opportunity through supporting good manufacturing practices. * To assist the Quality manager in maintaining and implementing any required Quality Systems as required. Minimum requirement * Production of compliance-based paperwork and process information. * Material / product testing and taking samples for QC checks. * In process QC checking. Duties * Conduct routine quality control tests on raw materials and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications. * Implement and monitor HACCP plans, identifying potential hazards and ensuring corrective actions are taken. * Maintain accurate records of test results and quality assurance activities, preparing reports for management review. * Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues and provide guidance on best practices. * Assist in the development and refinement of testing procedures and quality standards. * Participate in internal audits and inspections to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements. * Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in quality control methodologies. Requirements * Proven experience in a quality control or laboratory environment, preferably within the food or manufacturing industry. * Strong understanding of HACCP principles and quality assurance practices. * Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively. * Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality. * Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication skills. * Familiarity with laboratory equipment and testing methodologies is advantageous. * Relevant qualifications in food science, chemistry, or a related field are preferred but not mandatory.
