Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow. Your leadership and management skills will be essential in guiding both the children and your colleagues.
Duties
* Provide high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
* Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning through play, fostering children's development across all areas.
* Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians, providing updates on their child's progress and addressing any concerns.
* Collaborate with team members to create a positive nursery environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.
* Conduct regular assessments of children's development, documenting progress and planning next steps in their learning journey.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as safeguarding policies to protect the welfare of all children in your care.
* Support the management team in maintaining nursery standards, including cleanliness, organisation, and adherence to policies.
Experience
* Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
* A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare is highly desirable.
* Strong management and leadership skills to effectively guide colleagues and support children's learning.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to engage with children, parents, and staff effectively.
