Overview
Salvation Army Trading Company Ltd (SATCoL) is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the manager in the day-to-day running of all areas of the business. This role involves handling donations, organising collections from private houses and other locations, processing and delivering items to local SATCoL shops, selling on the premises, or redistributing as required. We will also offer a repair and reuse service to the community, helping divert unwanted goods from landfill where practical.
Responsibilities
* Assist the manager with the day-to-day running of all areas of the business.
* Receive and process donations and organise collections from various locations.
* Coordinate distribution to local SATCoL shops, on-site sales, or redistribution as appropriate.
* Support the repair and reuse service to help divert waste from landfill where practical.
* Respond to queries from customers, head office, and the team in a timely and professional manner.
* Open and close the centre on a regular basis and participate in ongoing recruitment and training of volunteers and staff.
