A specialist SEN school is looking for a compassionate and dependable Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. You will play a vital role in supporting pupils with a range of needs, including SEMH and complex behaviours, helping them to thrive both academically and socially.
Responsibilities
* Deliver 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN, focusing on their individual learning and emotional needs
* Assist teaching staff with personalised learning activities and behaviour management strategies
* Support pupils to develop positive behaviours and emotional regulation
* Help maintain detailed records to track pupil progress and contribute to planning meetings
* Work closely with colleagues, families, and external agencies to provide a holistic support approach
Qualifications and Skills
* Previous experience working with children with SEN and behavioural needs is preferred
* Patient, calm, and understanding with strong interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when needed
* Relevant qualifications in education or SEN support are desirable but not essential
* Willingness to participate in training such as Team Teach or behaviour management techniques (training provided)
