Overview
Are you a dynamic and enthusiastic person with a passion for motivating young people through sport?
GSL Education are looking for a dedicated Sports Coach to join a dynamic school in Wickford.
Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver fun and engaging sports and physical education sessions.
* Promote pupils’ physical development and encourage healthy, active lifestyles.
* Foster teamwork, discipline, and self-confidence through structured activities.
* Provide classroom support when required and assist with behaviour management.
* Work closely with teaching staff to integrate sports and physical activity into the wider curriculum.
* Support extracurricular activities, school events, and after-school clubs.
Requirements
* Previous experience coaching or working with children or young people is desirable.
* A recognised sports coaching qualification is advantageous but not essential.
* Excellent communication, motivation, and leadership skills.
* Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards pupil development.
* An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, with any gaps explained.
