Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive

We're recruiting an experienced EA to support the Chief Executive of a public sector organisation on a temporary basis.
PAYE rate
£25.00/hr
Ltd / Umbrella rate
£32.67/hr
The role
You'll provide comprehensive EA and secretarial support to the Chief Executive — managing their diary and inbox, planning and preparing for key meetings, coordinating board papers and reports, taking minutes, and tracking actions through to completion. You'll also handle internal and external communications across a wide range of stakeholders, organise internal events, and ensure digital records and filing systems are kept in good order.
What we're looking for
Proven experience as a PA or EA to a CEO or senior leader in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce professional correspondence, reports and accurate minutes
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy workload, prioritise effectively and meet tight deadlines
Confident and professional when dealing with senior stakeholders, with high levels of discretion and tact
Proficient in Microsoft Office and confident using digital tools, video conferencing platforms and remote working technology
Knowledge of local government is desirable but not essential
