Job Description
Pearson TQ are seeking a creative, dedicated individual to create and deliver engaging training. The Business Skills Trainer will develop high-quality leadership and business skills training programs, teaching in both face-to-face and virtual environments. Responsibilities include content development, resource creation, learner engagement, evaluation, and maintaining learner records.
Core Tasks and Responsibilities
1. Develop and deliver leadership & business skills training aligned with organizational standards.
2. Conduct face-to-face and virtual training sessions to develop learners’ skills, knowledge, and behaviors.
3. Create training resources such as presentations, workbooks, and webinars.
4. Utilize technology to enhance learning experiences.
5. Deliver interactive and engaging training tailored to learners’ needs.
6. Evaluate training effectiveness and suggest improvements.
7. Provide constructive feedback to learners.
8. Conduct coaching calls, complete administrative tasks, and maintain learner progress records.
9. Maintain online blogs, ensuring learner contributions and updates.
10. Monitor learner progress and liaise with managers to ensure targets are met.
11. Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies and maintain accurate records.
12. Conduct learner visits as needed.
13. Maintain positive stakeholder relationships.
14. Coach and mentor learners to foster positive attitudes towards learning.
15. Participate in team meetings and CPD activities.
16. Support other qualifications and programs as required.
17. Be flexible with working hours, including evenings and weekends.
18. Undertake other duties as required.
Qualifications and Skills
Training / Competencies
* Relevant teaching/training qualifications.
* Motivated, flexible, and adaptable.
* Excellent communication and IT skills.
* Proven coaching and mentoring abilities.
* Outstanding interpersonal and presentation skills.
* Ability to work independently.
Essential
* At least 5 years of training and delivery experience in business skills.
* Experience creating engaging training content.
* Management experience in a relevant industry role.
* Proficiency with technology in training delivery.
* Consistently rated as a good or outstanding trainer.
* Experience developing course materials and resources.
* Strong written skills for feedback and objectives.
Desirable
* Assessor qualification.
* Experience with Apprenticeship business skills.
* Experience delivering CMI Qualifications.
* Level 5 Leadership & Management delivery experience.
* Relevant Level 5 management qualification.
Additional Information
This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974; an enhanced DBS check is required.
