Job Overview
The post holder will be responsible for providing autonomous, evidence-based, women-centred midwifery care, working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, other agencies, representatives, and service users. They will support other midwives within the service and deliver high-quality, safe midwifery care, ensuring standards of practice and clinical excellence in line with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) code of professional conduct.
Main Duties of the Job
* Plan and implement individualised midwifery care that is women, pregnant person, child, and family-centred.
* Facilitate participation of service users and their families in decision-making, ensuring informed choice dialogue.
* Complete, action, and document all risk assessments and referrals.
* Follow midwifery/obstetric guidelines and liaise with the multidisciplinary team, reporting deviations from protocols.
* Ensure all clinical records meet Trust and regulatory standards.
* Provide evidence-based midwifery practice and maintain competence across all midwifery skills.
* Participate in continuous professional development, including mandatory training and online learning.
