Overview
Research Scientist (Graduate–Mid Level) – Chemical Engineering, Aluminium Hydroxide, Green Hydrogen, Material Science. Primarily onsite in Aylesbury with flexible hybrid options.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with the science team on new and existing cutting-edge research projects focused on Aluminium Hydroxide from clean hydrogen production.
* Conduct hands-on laboratory experiments, analyze data, and report results.
* Support projects related to Green Hydrogen, Filtration, and Sustainable Materials; contribute to innovation in energy, chemistry, and environmental science contexts.
* Assist in scaling research to practical applications; interact with industry partners and participate in occasional travel to other UK sites and occasional overseas conferences (1–2 per year).
Qualifications
* PhD or Masters degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science or a related field.
* Strong theoretical chemistry principles and experience with modern laboratory techniques and equipment (e.g., spectroscopy, X-ray methods, mechanical/chemical testing, electrical property measurements).
* Experience in energy or chemical sectors is preferred; chemical engineering or material science background is a bonus.
Desirable Skills
* Experience with Clean Hydrogen and Ammonia topics
* Knowledge of Clean Energy technologies and R&D practices
Key Skills
* Proven track record as a Scientist in the Energy, Chemical, or related sectors
* Hands-on laboratory-based experience in chemical, materials, or energy research
* Ability to commute to Aylesbury
Salary and Benefits
£40,000 – £55,000 per year plus benefits (negotiable).
