Purchasing and Scheduling Manager

Our established client is seeking an experienced Purchasing and Scheduling Manager to take ownership of purchasing operations, inventory control, and production scheduling within a manufacturing environment. This role is critical to ensuring materials are available to support production through effective supplier management, stock control, and scheduling processes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Place routine purchase orders driven by demand, utilising:
* Approximately 95% Kanban-based purchasing
* Approximately 5% MRP scheduling for long lead-time items
2. Maintain and manage the Kanban system, including stock levels and controls.
3. Issue weekly rollover schedules to suppliers.
4. Chase overdue orders and resolve shortages with suppliers.
