Reed Finance are recruiting for a Head of Strategic Finance, Planning and Risk on behalf of our globally operational client. This key leadership role is responsible for developing the organisation’s financial strategy and overseeing the implementation of a financially sustainable operating model that aligns with the organisation’s strategic goals.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Financial Sustainability & Value for Money: The Head of Strategic Finance, Planning and Risk will lead strategic initiatives to ensure the organisation’s financial sustainability, focusing on value for money.
* Resource Optimisation: They will develop strategies to optimise resource allocation and utilisation, ensuring effective prioritisation to meet strategic objectives.
* Long-Term Financial Planning: They will oversee financial models that support and facilitate long-term planning, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
* Strategic Integrated Planning: The role includes leading the development and implementation of a comprehensive planning framework that includes financial, corporate, resource planning, and risk management.
* Risk Management: They will integrate the organisation's Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Framework into daily operations, enhancing risk management processes and ensuring effective risk mitigation.
* Decision Support: The Head of Strategic Finance, Planning and Risk will provide strategic financial analysis and insights to support decision-making across the organisation.
* Collaboration & Leadership: They will engage actively with internal and external stakeholders, providing visible leadership and fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Professional Accounting Qualification: Must hold a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with at least 10 years of post-qualification experience.
* Senior Finance Experience: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage financial operations effectively.
* Change Management Expertise: Proven experience in strategic planning, financial modelling, and enterprise risk management.
* Leadership and Team Development: Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
* Strong Communication and Influence: Ability to effectively influence decision-making at the Executive and Board levels.
* Financial Planning Proficiency: High level of proficiency in financial planning and analysis tools.
* Strategic Vision: Clear vision for financial sustainability and growth, driving long-term success.
* Results-Driven: Focus on achieving measurable outcomes that align with organisational goals.

This role will be working on a hybrid basis, with 2/3 days per week required at their offices in Crawley, so living within a commutable distance is essential.
