Cook/Housekeeper Job, Inverness-shire
Greycoat Lumleys are seeking a Cook/Housekeeper who can be responsible for the smooth running of a large private house for our clients. The property is the main home of the family with older children who visit the home throughout the year but mainly during the holiday periods.
The local area offers a slower pace of life, surrounded by nature. The estate is close by to Inverness and Nairn. Inverness also has an airport convenient for domestic and international flights.
The Cook/Housekeeper must be able to ‘muck in’ with what needs to be done. The house is for private use only with shoot parties 2 or 3 times per year for up to 9 guns.
The Cook/Housekeeper must be able to work with the rest of the team, they must be kind, capable, and discreet. They will ideally have previous experience as a Private Cook/Housekeeper in a Private Household or Estate.
Cook/Housekeeper Duties
1. Family style cooking
2. Housekeeping
3. Wardrobe care
4. Looking after antiques, fine furnishings, and delicate finishes
5. Managing household supplies and liaising with estate contractors
6. Supporting guest arrivals
7. Creating a calm, organised and well-run household
Salary: £35,000 to £40,000 depending on experience.
Start: September/October 2025
Accommodation: Provided 2/3 bedroom property on the estate. Council Tax and Utility bills are not included in the package. Pets and Partners are welcome within reason.
