Role Description:
Person will be responsible to visit customer location in order to fix the computer systems and networks of the organisation. He will install and configure computer systems, diagnose hardware/software faults and solve technical problems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Install, upgrade, support and troubleshoot XP, Windows 7/10 and Microsoft Office 2007/2010/2016 and any other authorised desktop applications
* Install, upgrade, support and troubleshoot for printers, computer hardware and any other authorised peripheral equipment
* Dealing with hardware and application support queries and issues reported to the support desk and escalated to the Desktop Support Administrator
* Provide user data and application recovery
* Email account administration, i.e., account creation and management and distribution lists
* User account administration, i.e., account creation and management and password resets on Active Directory
* Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot problems associated with network connectivity, and workstation hardware/software
* Use tools and methodologies to load, copy and customize operating system configurations for deployment
* Performs general preventative maintenance tasks on computers, laptops, printers and any other authorised peripheral equipment
* Performs remedial repairs on computers, laptops, printers and any other authorised peripheral equipment
* Customize desktop hardware to meet user specifications and site standards
* Performs work in compliance within specified warranty requirements
* Returns defective equipment/parts to maintenance inventory, documents customer repairs, maintains and restocks assigned parts inventory to insure proper spare parts levels
Technical expertise areas:
* Highly skilled in providing effective technical support in hardware and software issues including diagnosis and troubleshooting.
* Experience in troubleshooting Windows 7 – 10 and mobile devices (iOS / Android)
* In-depth knowledge of performing hardware and software support for desktop and end client computing.
* Proven record of performing hardware repairs on customer equipment such as servers, desktops, notebooks, tablets, and printers.
* Demonstrated ability to perform software upgrades and configuration enhancements.
* Well versed in ensuring preventative maintenance on hardware.
* Able to ensure that all requests from user are logged and right procedures are followed.
* Adept at testing and distributing security patches to clients.
* Track record of participating in rollout of new software and hardware to ensure consistency in company’s technical standards.
* Effectively educate nontechnical users
* Actively works in a ticketing system
* LAN/WAN protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP
* Microsoft Office 365 support
* MS Intune knowledge
* Microsoft certification preferred
* ITIL certification
