Your new company is an SME in the Blackburn area. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a Finance Manager to join the team on a permanent basis.
Your new role
Prepare, analyse and present monthly financial statements, including the P&L, balance sheet, management reports and cash flow statements.
Have complete responsibility for the end-to-end month-end process.
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to optimise financial performance.
Write insightful and accurate commentaries and explanations to accompany all reporting.
Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and accurate record keeping.
Ensure banks are reconciled and cash correctly managed across multiple accounts and entities.
Multi-entity accounting and reporting, including group consolidations.
By managing a small team you will be responsible for all transactions to trial balance (including aspects of payroll).
Document, develop and enhance strong internal controls and implement procedures to safeguard financial assets.
Develop systems and automation to reduce processing time, reduce error rates and speedier real time reporting.
Business Partnering - work pro-actively and collaboratively with other operational managers and departments to provide financial insights, cost control and support strategic decision-making.
Manage a small finance team.
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and relevant accounting regulations.
