Key Responsibilities:
* Bookkeeping up to trial balance and reconciling balance sheet accounts.
* Preparing VAT returns and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
* Assisting with the preparation of statutory accounts and corporation tax returns.
* Supporting payroll processing for clients.
* Preparing personal tax returns and assisting on audit assignments.
* Developing, documenting, and updating new procedures and systems.
* Handling ad hoc assignments as required.
Experience and Skills Requirements
* GCSE Maths and English (Grade 6 or above preferred).
* Three A-Levels (including Mathematics) at Grade B or above preferred.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
* Strong numerical and analytical skills.
* Accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to meet deadlines.
* A proactive and organised approach to work.
* Excellent problem-solving abilities and willingness to learn.
* Strong communication skills with a professional and personable manner.
