The Team & Focus of the Role

We are on the lookout for a Receptionist to join our team in Birmingham.

As Receptionist, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic setting where each day brings new challenges and opportunities. You'll be part of a supportive team that values collaboration, innovation, and a commitment to high-quality service.

Due to the nature of the position, this is an office-based role working Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 5pm.

In return, beyond your base salary you will be included in:

1. A generous holiday scheme which commences at 25 days (pro rata) with a sliding scale up to 30 days plus an additional day for your birthday, and additional days to cover the festive period

Duties will include:

4. Act as the initial point of contact, offering a warm and professional greeting to visitors, clients, and colleagues.
5. Manage the reception area, answer and direct telephone calls, take messages, and handle general enquiries.
6. Provide hospitality for meetings, coordinate refreshments, and maintain well-presented meeting rooms.
7. Oversee office management activities, including ordering stationery, office supplies, and refreshments.
8. Receive, sort, and distribute incoming post, deliveries, and courier packages.
9. Book and manage travel arrangements, including train tickets, accommodation, and event support.
10. Liaise with contractors and service providers for maintenance and support.
11. Conduct health and safety inductions for new staff and visitors, keep accurate records, and promote safety.
12. Maintain office tidiness and ensure communal areas are clean and welcoming.

The successful candidate will have...

13. Highly Organised and exceptional service standards.
14. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
15. Experience in office administration and/or hospitality roles, especially managing reception desks.
16. High level of reliability, professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail.
17. Awareness of health & safety and a willingness to undertake inductions (training will be provided).
18. Proven organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure.
