Job description
A leading national law firm with a strong reputation in the health, social care, life sciences and charity sectors is seeking a talented Solicitor or Associate (3–5 PQE) to join its established Corporate & Commercial team.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a varied and high-quality caseload of commercial disputes, including:
1. Contract disputes
2. Procurement challenges
3. Construction disputes
4. Partnership disputes
5. Governance issues, complaints and internal investigations
The team advises predominantly public sector clients, including health and social care providers and charities, on complex, high-value and often high-profile contentious matters.
The ideal candidate will have:
6. 3–5 years’ PQE in commercial litigation (guideline only)
7. Strong working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules
8. Experience across key pre-trial stages, including case assessment, disclosure, witness statements and trial preparation
9. Experience of alternative dispute resolution
10. The ability to interpret complex contracts and provide clear, practical advice
11. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
12. Commercial awareness and a strategic mindset
13. Confidence working independently within a collaborative team
Experience advising health, social care or charity clients, or handling partnership disputes, would be advantageous but is not essential.
