Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust are looking for an experienced Security Manager or Local Security Management Specialist (LSMS) to manage a wide range of security services across many sites within the county
You will have experience of this role in a large and complex organisation such as the NHS and you will have experience of co-ordinating and influencing a range of people at all levels. You will also have an understanding and ability to manage contracts covering CCTV and access control systems and be able to advise on the law in relation to but not limited to Stalking, Harassment, Assault, GBH, ABH, Verbal Aggression, Trespass and Criminal Damage and provide competent security advice and guidance across the Trust to a wide number of people and you will have the drive and desire to implement the Trust's security strategy and highlight any areas of concern and have the tenacity to get those addressed in a timely, efficient and collaborative manner.
Main duties of the job
As the Trust’s senior security advisor, the post holder will have highly developed specialist knowledge that is underpinned by extensive practical and theoretical security experience to provide professional leadership and strategic direction at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust (BHT).
The post holder will formulate and implement security policies and advise on security procedures across all sites. They will be responsible for planning and implementing an agreed security strategy and advising the Trust senior management on its delivery.
The role includes managing a team of security professionals, contracted directly and also through our PFI partners, ensuring the provision of physical security services, negotiating contracts, managing annual budget and forming and maintaining good relationships with a wide range of internal clients and external stakeholders and contractors.
The post holder must have the ability to lead, manage and motivate teams (including clinical and non-clinical) and promote change, identify training and development needs and, where necessary, manage disciplinary issues.

1. Security management accreditation e.g. CPP, PSP, CSMP.
