Responsibilities
* ENP post within the A&E/Inpatient Services department based at Mid Argyll Hospital. The ENP service operates 24 hours a day, working closely with local GPs who provide medical cover to the hospital and community.
* Act as the Senior Nurse for the A&E department and for the hospital in the out of hours period and in the absence of the Senior Charge Nurse.
* Demonstrate excellent communication, prioritising and decision making skills. Ensure safe and effective clinical practice, manage and develop the performance of the team and contribute to the delivery of the organisation's objectives.
* Mid Argyll Hospital is a Community Hospital with a 15 bedded GP acute ward, A&E department, Outpatient department with visiting consultants, rehabilitation services, day-case services and transfusions.
Location and setting
Mid Argyll Hospital is situated on the west coast of Scotland. It is a Community Hospital in a bustling town, with access to Islay, Gigha, Arran and Jura via ferry services.
