About the Opportunity
A leading Top 100 UK law firm with a strong presence across the South West is seeking an experienced Clinical Negligence Associate to join their Bristol team. The team handles a diverse range of matters, from birth injury to dental negligence, with a reputation for high-quality, complex work delivered with empathy and expertise.
This is an opportunity for an ambitious lawyer who wants to manage their own caseload while also collaborating with senior colleagues on more complex litigation. You'll be working in a supportive environment where technical excellence, client care, and professional development are equally valued.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a portfolio of clinical negligence cases, including complex birth injury matters.
* Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing expert guidance on options, risk, and outcomes.
* Support and mentor junior lawyers, sharing technical, business, and practical advice.
* Contribute to team performance and risk management, including billing and WIP monitoring.
* Develop market expertise and a profile within the clinical negligence sector.
Skills & Experience
* Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 4 PQE in clinical negligence.
* Comfortable assisting senior lawyers with challenging matters.
* Strong client management and communication skills.
* Ability to mentor and support junior colleagues.
