Role: Senior Payroll Officer
Salary: £38,000 per annum
Location: Colchester, Essex
Your Role
* Producing and distributing of payroll reporting to the organisation and other ad hoc projects
* Assisting with all internal and external audits related to payroll
* Administration related to employee benefits (Pensions, Benefits in Kind (P11D), and Childcare Vouchers)
* Coordinating with our services and our payroll bureau contact to administer statutory payments e.g. SSP, SMP, SPP etc.
* Managing Attachment of Earnings Orders with the bureau and handle subsequent payments to local authorities.
* Completing monthly reporting on payroll costs to Finance and the wider business as required.
* Calculating additional payments, such as expenses and additional holiday pay.
* Conducting data interrogation to ensure completeness and consistency of employee records.

About You
* Have excellent communication skills - verbal and written
* Experience with hourly paid employees and with 500+ employees.
* Experience with benefits in kind and with pension schemes and associated administration.
* Ability to explain, develop and follow policies and protocols
