About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Airfreight Account Manager to join their growing team. This role is suited to someone with strong commercial acumen, excellent relationship-building skills, and a proven background in international airfreight operations. Youll take ownership of key accounts while driving growth through proactive sales activity and exceptional service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and grow a portfolio of airfreight customers
Negotiate rates, service agreements, and commercial terms (including SLAs)
Develop new business opportunities within the airfreight sector
Provide accurate and timely quotations, costings, and service proposals
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, and internal teams
Monitor performance against SLAs and resolve service issues effectively
Keep up to date with airfreight market trends, carrier updates, and pricing changes
Support operational teams to ensure seamless end-to-end service delivery
About You
Proven experience in airfreight account management, sales, or operations
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage complex commercial discussions
Confident managing customer expectations and high-value accounts
Solid understanding of international freight processes, compliance, and documentation
Strong communication, organisational, and relationship-building skills
Proactive, target-driven, and able to work independently
