Seeking a qualified Finance Manager who can upskill a team of 4 finance members, as well as produce accurate reporting
Our client is a leading manufacturing business based in Hatfield, known for its high-quality, specialised products, continuous innovation, and strong global footprint. As the business continues to grow, they are seeking an experienced and hands-on Finance Manager to strengthen the finance function and support wider international operations.
This is a key leadership role overseeing a finance team of four, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality financial reporting. You will be responsible for upskilling and developing the team while acting as a critical link between UK operations and international entities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of four finance professionals, ensuring strong performance and capability growth
2. Manage month-end and year-end processes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
3. Produce detailed management accounts, KPI reports, and operational analysis for senior leadership
4. Coordinate and deliver financial reporting requirements for international entities within the group
5. Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
6. Improve financial processes, controls, and reporting tools across the function
7. Support operational teams with cost analysis, inventory reporting, and manufacturing performance insights
8. Collaborate closely with global finance teams to ensure alignment with group reporting standards
9. Lead finance-related projects, including system improvements and process optimisation
About You
10. Fully qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
11. Proven experience in a manufacturing or similarly complex, product-driven environment
12. Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing a small team
13. Confident in dealing with international reporting and global stakeholders
14. Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability
15. Strong Excel skills and familiarity with ERP/manufacturing systems
16. Proactive, organised, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
