Verve People are working with a client in the educational field in sourcing a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie in one of the UK's largest colleges based in Deeside. The client is looking for an immediate start for the duration of 8-12 weeks; 37 hours per week. Main Duties: Support the Head Chef and kitchen team in the delivery of outstanding dining experiences in the various outlets at the college and also off site. This will include contemporary food reflecting modern food cookery processes and presentation styles. Safeguard and promote the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. Assist in controlling the budget for the purchasing of food goods by following the purchasing procedures outlined by the Head Chef. To be responsible for the delivery of food in any of the outlets including the supervision of students, adhere to food safety policy and waste management. Provide high quality food and drink at all hospitality and commercial functions. Utilise knowledge of current legislation, Health & Safety and food hygiene to maintain the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene in all areas of the department. Support the sustainability agenda by displaying best practice in purchasing, recycling and waste disposal. Other duties to the role may be required.
