Responsibilities
* Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate daily food production activities.
* Assist in menu planning and development, ensuring creativity and seasonal relevance.
* Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to maintain quality standards.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen.
* Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering teamwork and professional growth.
* Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
* Collaborate with the Head Chef to implement new recipes and improve existing ones.
* Handle customer feedback regarding food quality and service.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
* Strong supervisory skills with experience in team management.
* Extensive knowledge of food production techniques and culinary practices.
* Excellent cooking skills with a focus on food preparation and presentation.
* Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations.
* Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable.
* Strong leadership abilities to motivate and guide kitchen staff.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
