Job Overview We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Demand Planner to join our Procurement team. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining accurate demand forecasts and optimising inventory levels to support business needs and customer fulfilment. The successful candidate will manage forecasting and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) processes, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to improve forecast accuracy, ensure product availability, and drive continuous improvement across supply chain operations. Key Responsibilities Lead the forecasting process by gathering inputs from relevant stakeholders, ensuring data accuracy and alignment on assumptions Maintain and refresh forecasts on an agreed schedule Manage the MRP process to identify replenishment requirements, mitigate stock shortages, and optimise inventory levels Maintain and update MRP parameters, including supplier lead times, forecasts, and stock thresholds Support the preparation and raising of purchase orders based on MRP outputs, ensuring validation and compliance Ensure optimal stock levels are maintained to meet business and customer demand Maintain accurate master data within procurement systems to support reliable reporting and planning Develop and manage dashboards (e.g. Power BI) to provide actionable insights Identify and resolve data discrepancies, ensuring consistency across systems and reports Present insights and performance metrics to senior management and key stakeholders Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures Collaborate with procurement and cross-functional teams to identify process improvements and operational efficiencies Engage with stakeholders to align supply chain activities with business objectives Facilitate cross-functional meetings to address risks, resolve bottlenecks, and improve processes Support the development and mentoring of junior team members on MRP systems and best practices Skills and Competencies Strong understanding of ERP systems and material planning processes Experience with inventory planning tools such as Netstock, Slim4, or Relex Advanced analytical skills, with proficiency in Power BI and Microsoft Excel Strong stakeholder management and communication skills Excellent organisational and time management abilities High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment Proactive approach to continuous improvement and problem-solving Qualifications and Experience Bachelors degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience) Proven experience in demand planning, procurement, or supply chain analytics Demonstrated success in managing MRP processes and inventory optimisation Strong technical skills, including Excel and data analytics tools (Power BI, SQL, or Python advantageous) Ability to contribute to process improvements and add measurable business value
