Machine Operator Dry Dock Location: Cornwall Full-Time | Permanent Monday Friday, 07:45 16:30 (37.5 hours/week) £16.00 per hour About the Role: Our client is currently seeking a qualified and experienced Machine Operator to join their maintenance team and play a vital role in re-establishing and maintaining the machine shop in a busy dry dock environment. Key Responsibilities: Operate all machine shop equipment safely and efficiently (lathes, mills, grinders, etc.). Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment. Support the site engineering team on various dry dock projects. Ensure regular maintenance, servicing, and replacement of equipment as needed. Use CAD to program the CNC plasma cutter (desirable but not essential). Assist other areas of the maintenance team as required. Candidate Requirements: Minimum NVQ Level 3 qualification in Engineering or equivalent. At least 2 years of experience in a similar machine shop or engineering role. Experience operating traditional machinery (lathes, mills, grinders). Knowledge of CAD/CAM software and CNC programming is advantageous.
