We are looking for a hands-on Electrical Engineer to join the R&D team of a green energy company in Liverpool, working on the future of low-emission transport. You will design, prototype, and integrate battery-electric and hydrogen technologies to deliver efficient, reliable hybrid powertrain solutions. This role would suit a junior-to-mid level engineer with hands-on R&D experience with battery-electric vehicles. The primary location will be Liverpool with occasional travel to collaborative partners and customers in UK and abroad may be required.
Responsibilities:
* Developing solutions for a variety of vehicle applications using battery-electric propulsion systems.
* Integrating battery-electric vehicle technology alongside hydrogen systems to provide efficient and reliable hybrid powertrain solutions.
* Designing, prototyping, and evaluating electrical systems for a wide range of vehicles.
* Leading technical investigations and analysis of both components and vehicles.
* Electro-mechanical component specification and sourcing.
* Design and installation of R&D prototypes.
* Component and system design.
* Designing and building prototype wiring harnesses for both low and high-voltage vehicle systems.
Requirements:
* Electrical/Automotive Engineering Degree, IMI/NVQ considered
* Knowledge of high voltage electrical systems and vehicle architecture.
* Solid understanding of systems such as batteries, BMS, inverters, motor controllers, thermal management.
