Product Development Manager The Product Development Manager is responsible for managing the delivery of products and projects to a designated customer or brand. Nurtures and develops customer relationships to support the business sales growth plan. Feeds into the product development process of a designated brand/customer. Provides competitor analysis, presentations, and general research of products. Proposes new concepts for brand/customer and works in conjunction with wider teams both internally and externally. Remains aware of new opportunities and is proactive regarding the needs of the business. Proactively communicates with the customer regarding the progress of individual projects (including finance, R&D development, packaging & design development, and all other appropriate aspects). Takes the lead in development meetings with the customer. Also attends any other relevant meetings deemed necessary. Builds and maintains excellent relationships with customers, suppliers, and manufacturers, dealing with them in a professional and effective manner. Creates accurate product costings and budgets for sign off. Put recommendations forward for effective savings. Monitors sales against budgets and reports exceptions. Works collaboratively with the supply, purchasing & packaging teams to ensure an effective and commercial sourcing/purchasing process of NPD and tender work. Manages, develops and leads team member/s. Communicating effectively and positively with all teams, colleagues, and managers.
