Job Title: Technical Supervisor - Electrical Bias
Job objectives and responsibilities
1. Manage resources and materials for the operation, installation, and maintenance of building engineering services, ensuring contractual obligations and client requirements are met. Manage 5 off-shift Supervisors and 10 off-shift Engineers in a Data Centre.
2. Support the Operations Manager in managing personnel, systems, and services to maintain 100% availability of critical facilities.
3. Manage all direct reports and subcontracted resources to deliver quality service.
4. Oversee planned preventative and reactive maintenance, ensuring timely completion, site security, and statutory compliance.
5. Ensure maintenance details and compliance certificates are uploaded to the relevant system.
6. Handle client projects from quotation to completion, maintaining budget, quality, and compliance.
7. Review and improve site operating and emergency procedures to minimize risks and improve recovery.
8. Support operational switching of LV & HV supplies.
9. Provide technical support for project works and site team guidance.
10. Deputise for the Operations Manager when absent.
Person Specification
1. Minimum HNC or equivalent in electrical or mechanical engineering.
2. At least five years supervisory/management experience.
3. Experience in electrical and mechanical engineering disciplines.
4. Experience in HV & LV switching operations.
5. Broad experience in building and engineering services.
6. Strong communication and customer service skills.
7. Ability to plan, coordinate, and manage work independently, demonstrating flexibility and resource maximization.
8. Knowledge of relevant health & safety legislation, standards, and regulations.
