Join Our Team as a Support Practitioner in Strichen
Are you seeking a rewarding part-time role with meaningful impact? We have an exciting opportunity at #TeamSchoolPark in Strichen for new female colleagues on a part-time (25 hours/week), permanent basis.
The Role
As a Support Practitioner, no two days are alike. You'll be part of a friendly team supporting five individuals with profound learning disabilities and complex needs to live in their shared home. Your responsibilities include assisting with daily needs such as medication, physio activities, personal care, appointments, and housework. Some individuals also enjoy community activities like walks, wheelchair bike rides, bingo, swimming, and leisure activities.
About You
No experience is necessary; we recruit based on values. We will provide paid training, practical skills, and fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and SSSC registration fees. If you do not live in Strichen and are not a driver, you should be able to travel to our service, considering limited public transport options.
What We Need From You
* A caring and compassionate attitude
* Ability to work well in a team
* Good communication and organizational skills
* A positive attitude and willingness to learn
* Basic computer skills
Shift Patterns
Various contracts are available, including weekend-only options. Shifts typically run between 06:45-21:00 and include waking nights (21:00-07:00). Night shifts are paid at your normal rate plus an additional £20 per waking night. Weekend and public holiday shifts are on a rotational basis.
