About The Role As a Trainee Driver Trainer, you’ll be an integral part of our operation — empowering drivers with the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to work safely and efficiently every day. You’ll start by learning from an experienced team who will mentor and support you as you gain a solid understanding of the role. From understanding daily driver challenges to assessing performance and developing tailored training plans, this position offers the perfect mix of strategy and hands-on experience. What You’ll Be Doing Once trained, you’ll be: Collaborating with Training and Recruitment teams to tailor training support. Delivering engaging training sessions to new and existing drivers through a blended learning approach — including hands-on practical sessions in the yard, classroom-based learning, and one-on-one coaching over the phone. Interviewing and assessing new driver candidates. Promoting fuel efficiency, safety, and best driving practices. Using telematics and performance data to provide constructive coaching. Maintaining accurate, up-to-date training records. Liaising with Transport Managers and Planners to ensure training is timely and impactful. Communicating clearly and confidently across all levels of the business. Hours & Flexibility 40 hours per week (typically 07:30–16:00, Monday to Friday). Driver Trainer flexibility is essential — early starts, late finishes, and occasional weekend work may be required. About You We’re looking for someone who: Is confident using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Has excellent written and verbal communication skills. Is organised, proactive, and can manage priorities.
