Job Description
A leading FMCG food manufacturer in South Wales is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to oversee logistics, distribution, and storage operations.
Reporting to the Head of Operations, the Supply Chain Manager will manage and develop all aspects of the supply chain to ensure excellent customer service.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the food or consumer goods manufacturing/distribution sector, strong leadership skills, and a track record of developing high-performing teams. Experience in continuous improvement, health & safety initiatives, and cost optimization with third-party suppliers is essential.
Key responsibilities include:
* Ensuring BRC and financial audit compliance within the supply chain
* Managing third-party logistics and storage operations
* Providing OTIF data to departments and meeting customer OTIF targets
* Overseeing the supply chain budget in collaboration with the Head of Operations and finance
* Ensuring third-party contractor compliance
* Managing the pallet process and cost optimization
* Leading team management through appraisals and reviews
* Promoting a safer workplace through hazard reporting and safety initiatives
