Learning Support Assistant Location: Sunderland Working hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm (Monday to Friday) Contract type: Long term, temporary Leader Education are looking to recruit a dedicated and empathetic Learning Support Assistant to join a friendly SEND secondary school. The successful applicant will work alongside teachers and a wider team of specialists, delivering personalised support both in lessons and through planned activities throughout the school day, enabling each student to achieve their individual goals. Key duties include: Promoting students’ social, emotional, and educational progress. Providing individual and small group support for learners with additional and complex needs. Assisting with personal care tasks where necessary (such as toileting, feeding, and mobility), always maintaining dignity and respect (training provided). Supporting a range of needs including communication, sensory, physical, and behavioural challenges.
