Role Overview
We are seeking a Paediatric Dietetic Assistant to join our team, working alongside paediatric dietitians and the wider dietetic team. This role involves supporting paediatric dietitians in various settings, including in-patient acute care, community locations, outpatient clinics, special schools, telephone reviews, and patients' homes.
Responsibilities
1. Review established patients on enteral feeding, special diets, and nutritional supplements.
2. Assist in weighing and measuring children and young people, including using hoist and weighing equipment.
3. Visit schools to record anthropometric data.
4. Analyze food diaries and feeds using appropriate software prior to dietetic consultations.
5. Organize home enteral feeding provision, including setting up with contractors and responding to queries from patients, healthcare professionals, and industry partners.
6. Communicate with GPs regarding feed requests and document actions in electronic patient records.
7. Support monitoring of waiting lists, appointment scheduling, and updating hospital information systems.
8. Distribute product updates and support service value for money in feeding supplies.
