Using diverse fuel sources like biogas, natural gas, and landfill gas, Edina supports clients in improving energy efficiency, reducing emissions, and achieving net zero goals.With over 200 professionals and global operations, we combine innovative technology, in-house manufacturing, and strong customer values - sustainability, flexibility, and integrity - to provide reliable, tailored power solutions and exceptional after-sales support across public and industrial sectors.We aim to build long-lasting partnerships with our customers in support of their project requirements to deliver market-leading power generation solutions to reduce energy costs and guide our clients through the transition to net carbon zero.Backed by a dedicated in-house manufacturing division, skilled professionals, and a proven track record across public and industrial markets worldwide, we cover the full spectrum, delivering reliable, forward-thinking power generation solutions with an after-sales service.We are currently looking for an Operations Engineer to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis.The Benefits- Competitive salary- Attractive overtime rates- 25 days annual leave plus local Statutory Holidays- Enhanced Holiday Entitlement based on length of service- Company pension scheme with attractive employer contribution percentage- Company van- Private healthcare scheme- Life Insurance- Employee Assistance Programme- Cycle to Work Scheme- Career development opportunities- Continued investment in employee training to further enhance knowledge, expertise and creativityThis is a brilliant opportunity for a qualified engineer with strong mechanical and electrical expertise to join our innovative, forward-thinking organisation.With an exciting and varied workload across diverse sites and industries, youll enjoy the satisfaction of tackling complex challenges, honing your technical skills, and playing a vital role in ensuring our power solutions keep businesses running and communities connected.Whats more, youll be part of a collaborative team that values your expertise and invests in your growth as you gain access to ongoing training, career progression opportunities, and the latest tools and technology while helping clients achieve their net zero ambitions!The RoleAs an Operations Engineer, youll take responsibility for maintaining and repairing gas and diesel engine installations at client sites throughout the UK.Carrying out scheduled and reactive maintenance, you will undertake fault-finding both locally and remotely and play a key role in keeping systems running smoothly across a wide range of sites.Youll also diagnose technical issues, implement first-time fixes where possible, and ensure all work is completed in line with the manufacturers instructions and service schedules.Additionally, you will:- Oversee the servicing and maintenance of engines and ancillary equipment- Plan resources and parts for repairs- Co-ordinate with parts and service teams to support successful after-sales contracts- Liaise with contractors, third parties, and colleaguesAbout YouTo be considered as an Operations Engineer, youll need:- At a minimum, an ONC, NVQ Level II or City & Guilds Level 2 qualification in mechanical/electrical engineering, motor vehicle studies or equivalent- To be a competent, time-served technician, preferably with a minimum of 3 years industrial mechanical/electrical experience- Considerable skills and in-depth knowledge of gas/diesel engines- Effective IT skills and competency in the use of Microsoft Office Packages- A full, valid driving licenceHours of Work: Monday - Friday, 8.00 am - 4.30 pmThis role will involve weekend work and possible out-of-hours work. You will be required to participate in an established 24-hour callout program based on a rota system.Other companies may call this role Installation Engineer, Field Service Engineer, Engine Maintenance Technician, Electrical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Senior Field Service Technician, or Maintenance Technician.The closing date for applications is 4:00PM on Wednesday 3rd June 2026.Due to a fast-moving market, positions may be filled on short notice, and the deadline date may be brought to a close early.
