As a Principal Civil Engineer, you’ll play a key role in leading multidisciplinary design teams, providing technical direction, and ensuring the delivery of high‑quality, buildable, and sustainable civil engineering solutions. Key Responsibilities
* Lead and oversee the civil design and delivery of water and wastewater treatment projects.
* Produce and review technical reports, specifications, and construction drawings.
* Undertake design calculations and analysis using industry‑standard software.
* Coordinate civil design with mechanical, electrical, and process engineering disciplines.
* Conduct site visits, inspections, and provide technical support during construction.
* Mentor junior engineers and ensure quality assurance across all outputs.
* Support business development activities, including bid preparation and client engagement.
* Maintain compliance with UK design standards, legislation, and best practice guidance.
Qualifications
* 8 Years Experience
* BEng/MEng in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
* Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working towards professional status (ICE/IStructE/CIWEM).
* Minimum 8 years experience delivering civil engineering designs in the UK water sector.
* Strong leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills.
* High‑level competence in design tools such as Tekla, TEDDS, STAAD, or AutoCAD.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel when required.
