Horizon Teachers are working in partnership with a warm, supportive primary school in Hounslow that has a well-established Additional Resource Provision (ARP) for pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The school is seeking an experienced SEND Teacher to join their KS1 provision from January. This ARP supports pupils with ASD and a range of communication needs, with regular access to Speech and Language Therapy (SaLT). The class size is around 10 pupils, supported by a strong team of TAs. The Role This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed SEND specialist who is confident in adapting learning and routines for pupils with ASD. Responsibilities include: Leading a small KS1 ARP class and delivering highly differentiated lessons. Working closely with TAs, SaLT professionals, and the wider leadership team. Supporting pupils’ communication, social interaction, emotional regulation, and early academic development. Using structured, visual and ASD-appropriate strategies to create a predictable learning environment. Contributing to EHCP reviews, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring strong progress for all pupils. What the School Is Looking For: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential Strong experience supporting pupils with ASD, ideally in early years or KS1.
