Job Description: Job Overview As a RFO Supervisor at TE Connectivity, you will lead a regional engineering team focused on delivering innovative connectivity solutions for aerospace and defence applications. This role combines technical leadership with operational execution, ensuring successful delivery of new product development (NPD), new product introduction (NPI), and sustaining engineering projects. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to meet customer requirements and business objectives, while leveraging AI tools to enhance efficiency and decision-making. Your main tasks: Technical Strategy & Governance Define and maintain the RFO engineering technical strategy and roadmap. Establish and enforce engineering governance, design standards, and validation frameworks. Ensure alignment between technical decisions and business, product, and manufacturing strategies. Supervisory Enablement Provide technical supervision to Engineering Teams. Enable consistent decision-making by setting expectations, principles, and escalation paths. Coach leaders on complex technical judgement rather than task execution. Portfolio & Risk Oversight Review engineering portfolios for technical risk, complexity, and capability fit. Intervene selectively in high-impact or high-risk programs. Ensure lessons learned and best practices are institutionalised across RFO. Organizational Capability Develop engineering capability through competency frameworks, succession planning, and technical mentoring. Drive adoption of digital and AI-enabled engineering practices at scale. Your ideal background: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field (advanced degree preferred). 5-10 years of engineering experience. Proven track record in managing NPD/NPI projects from concept to production. Strong understanding of design principles, materials, and environmental performance requirements. Experience collaborating with manufacturing operations and cross-functional teams. Solid background in project management and sustaining engineering. Familiarity with AI applications in engineering (e.g., predictive modelling, generative design, automation). Excellent communication, and stakeholder management skills. Experience in aerospace, defence, or industrial connectivity markets preferred.
