Nursery Assistant – North Shields


Milk Education is working in partnership with a friendly and supportive primary school in North Shields to recruit a Nursery Assistant for a full-time position, starting after February half term. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about early years education and supporting young children at the very start of their learning journey.

Nursery Assistant Role:

1. Supporting children within the Nursery / EYFS setting

2. Assisting the class teacher with daily learning activities and routines

3. Providing a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment

4. Supporting children’s social, emotional and developmental needs

5. Helping with observations and contributing to children’s progress within the EYFS framework

The Ideal Candidate:

6. Has experience working with early years / nursery-aged children

7. A full and relevant EYFS qualification is desirable but not essential

8. A caring, patient and enthusiastic approach to supporting young learners

9. Strong communication and teamwork skills

10. A genuine passion for early childhood development
