About the role

Your key responsibilities as the Registered Manager:
You will have full autonomy of your home, managing daily operations to enable young people to thrive. You will lead your team to create a safe, supportive environment, ensuring compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations and maintaining high standards of care. Responsibilities include organizing work patterns, facilitating training, and accessing support services.
You will also oversee your team’s professional development, recruit compassionate staff, and foster a positive workplace culture. You will design and monitor care and education plans tailored to individual needs, focusing on life and independent skills development.
The successful candidate will have:
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (Residential Childcare)
* At least 2 years’ experience managing an Ofsted-rated good or above home
* Experience working with children and young people with challenging behaviours, including mental health issues
* Full UK Driving License
* Excellent knowledge of relevant legislation, including The Children’s Homes England Regulations, Quality Standards, the Children Act
